Description: The website for an exhibit entitled "The Tibetan Book of the Dead: The Literature and Artwork on Prayer, Ritual, and Meditation from the Religious Traditions of Tibet, India, and Nepal (1998)." This electronic catalog contains introductory essays about Tibetan religion, Tibetan perspectives on death and dying, bookmaking in Tibet, and religious art. Also featured are many richly annotated images of Tibetan religious art and other objects of material culture used in South Asian Buddhist rituals.
