Description: Padma Karpo Translation Committee provides electronic editions of a wide range of Tibetan dictionaries for modest prices, including: The Illuminator Tibetan-English Dictionary, Sarat Chandra Das's Tibetan-English Dictionary, Geshe Chodrak's Tibetan-Tibetan Dictionary, The Mahavyutpatti (Sanskrit-Tibetan-English Glossary), and a Tibetan Verbs Database. The dictionaries are proofed to a high standard, and delivered using special software. The software only works on Windows, though Mac Users should be able to run it using Windows emulation software. There are no on-line resources, however, aside from sample files and only the Committee's own products are sold.

It also sells electronic editions of typed in Tibetan religious texts with a focus on the Kagyu (bka' brgyud) tradition of Tibetan Buddhism (link: electronic publications). It is beginning to offer free English translations of Tibetan texts, currently including Andreas Kretschmar's translation of the first two chapters of the root text of Śāntideva's Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra along with the Tibetan commentary by Khenpo Kunpal (mkhan po kun dpal, 1862-1943) (link: online publications and downloads). It offers instructions for purchase of audio tapes of Tibetan Buddhist teachings in the Nyingma (rnying ma) tradition by the Tsoknyi Rinpoche (tshogs gnyis rin po che) and Mingyur Rinpoche (mi 'gyur rin po che) (link: recordings and archives division. Its primary function is currently commercial, but if the free section of downloads evolves further it could become a very useful Web site for translations as well.
