mNga' ris regional house is locked up and is not in active use. The building is in a state of disrepair. The temple portico appears to contain murals that are very old, but they have been splattered with white paint. mNga' ris khang tshan has no perimeter wall at present, and it is unclear whether or not it ever had one. If not, it would be the only regional house that was not enclosed by such a wall. The architecture is unusual in other ways. For example, the khang tshan temple appears to be on the ground floor, something that, once again, we find in no other khang tshan.
