In 2002 this small, two-story regional house (khang tshan) compound was being restored. The eastern perimeter wall is partially demolished, but the rest of the compound appears to be in good repair. The area near the dilapidated perimeter wall may have been the site of monks’ quarters that have since been destroyed. The enclosed second-story balcony on top of the temple portico with windows overlooking the central regional house courtyard is architecturally unusual in this – the eastern – half of the monastery.
