J. van der Kuijp</h3><p class="paragraph">This essay traces the evolution of Tibetan historiographic writings by analyzing the use of three common names for Tibetan historical works – <em class="italic">lo rgyus</em> or “tidings of year(s),” <em class="italic">rgyal rabs</em> or “account/story of king(s),” and <em class="italic">chos ’byung</em> or “Origin of Buddhism” – as well as investigating a “treasure” history, the <em class="italic">Bka’ chems ka khol ma</em>.</p><div class="resource-link"><p class="paragraph">
